Product Composition

Flocked Swab: The swab stick is made of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene plastic (ABS), and the sampling head is made of polyamide 66.

Sponge Swab: The swab stick is made of PP, and the sampling head is made of polyurethane.

Tube Type: Consists of a swab and a protective tube

Product Features and Advantages

Flocked swabs are available in hydrophilic and hydrophobic types; sponge swabs are less prone to yellowing.

Material Properties: The swab stick has good toughness and strength, is not easily bent or broken during sampling, and is suitable for deep sampling. It does not react with saliva, mucus, and other body fluids, and maintains structural stability in humid environments without affecting operation. The sampling head is soft, does not irritate the mucous membrane, and is not easily detached, avoiding sample contamination.

Design Features: Mentions the product's special design, such as the breakable design at the rear end of the swab, which facilitates sample extraction by automated extraction workstations; the protective tube has ventilation holes to prevent the deterioration of biological substances. Breakable design, compatible with automated extraction equipment, precise break point, neat and burr-free fracture surface.

Sterile Assurance: Describes the sterilization method of the product, such as ethylene oxide sterilization, irradiation sterilization, etc., as well as the packaging form, such as individual packaging, to ensure the sterile state of the product during use and reduce the risk of cross-contamination. The product is sterilized with EO and individually packaged to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Instructions for Use

1. Open the package and take out the disposable sterile sampling swab.

2. Hold the handle and gently place the swab on the sampling site.

3. Gently rotate the sampler 2-5 times, then slowly withdraw the swab.

4. Place the collected sample into the sample collection tube. For swabs with a break point, break the handle at the break point and place the sampling head into the collection tube; for swabs without a break point, place the entire swab into the collection tube.

5. After use, dispose of according to medical waste classification.

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life

Should be stored in a ventilated, dry, cool, away from heat sources and corrosive gases environment, and should be used within the validity period.
